# See what happened to every signal and why, from the PC or the phone

The Dashboard shows whether everything is connected and what happened today. Every signal keeps a record of why it was traded or skipped. Away from the PC, you follow it on relay2trade.com from your phone.

- Install Relay2Trade on the PC you trade from and leave it on. Follow it from your phone in the Desk on relay2trade.com.
- A skipped signal says why and names the setting that stopped it. Click the signal on the Dashboard and read "What happened".
- In the Desk you can also approve signals, close trades, pause trading and change settings, without a code. Two-factor is optional; with it on, signing in with your password asks for one.

## The Dashboard: what is connected
Read the status bar first. "Licence" shows your subscription. "MT5" shows the account, the broker and the trading bridge version. A dot shows Telegram. Then come today's numbers, for example "today: 2 trades · P/L +153.29" and "5/50 signals today".
Amber "MT5 · not logged in to your broker" means MetaTrader is open and the broker has not accepted the login. Nothing is traded until it has.
Below the status bar are "Listener performance" (one row per group, with traded / signals and the net result of closed trades), the "Signals" card with "Browse all signals", "Awaiting your approval" when something waits, "Open positions" and the Activity list.
The range selector switches everything between "All time", "Today", "Yesterday", "Last 7 days", "Last 30 days", "Last 90 days" and "Custom…".
"MT5 · waiting for terminal" means MetaTrader is not connected. "⚠ bridge outdated — restart MT5" goes away once you close and reopen MetaTrader 5.
When the problem is on our side, the app says so. A banner reads "Relay2Trade is having an outage" or "Relay2Trade is partly degraded", names what is affected and links to "Service status". Your app keeps running and picks up where it left off. There is nothing to change in your setup.

## The story of a signal
Click any signal on the Dashboard to open its story. It shows the original message, the levels that were read, the settings it ran under, the size with its arithmetic, the trades placed and "What happened", the timeline.
Example: GOLD BUY NOW 4371 - 4368, SL 4362.5, TP1 4375, TP2 4379, TP3 4384, with "Risk % of equity" at 1. The story prints the arithmetic: "Size: 1.00% of 12109.17 USD equity (Risk % of equity) is 121.09 USD at risk for this signal; with the stop 765 points away, that is 0.15 lots in all." With "Multiple take-profits" on Split, "Legs placed" lists three trades of 0.05 lots, one for each take-profit. The tallies read "3 placed", "3 won", "net +137.25".
The header has the status, the symbol, the listener, the time and the signal "ID". Below it are the time the message was posted, the time it arrived, the tallies and the original message with "Read wrong?". The "ID" identifies the signal, so put it in your support ticket when you ask about one.
Then come the levels that were read, "Ran under:" with the settings in force at that moment, "What the AI read, as data", which opens with a click, and the reasons. "Legs placed" lists ticket, role, type, lots, entry, stop and target. "Legs not placed" gives a reason for each. "What happened" is the timeline, newest line first.
The tallies count the trades of the signal: placed, won, lost, going, unfilled, and the net result. The status is one word, such as won, lost, break-even, going, partial, unfilled, skipped, failed, held or stale.

## Why a signal was skipped
A skipped signal always carries its reason. The first reason is the rule that decided, and the others explain the size. Each reason names the setting as the app spells it.
1. On the Dashboard click the signal, or click "Browse all signals" and set the outcome filter to "Skipped".
2. Read the status tag and the reason under the levels.
3. When only part of the signal was traded, read "Legs not placed".
Reasons you will meet: "The price 4407.4 is already 46.0 pips from the signal's entry 4412, more than this listener's Max entry deviation (30 pips)." "You reached Max traded signals per day (30), so no new signals are traded until tomorrow." "Your Allowed symbols (EURUSD, GBPUSD) does not have XAUUSD, and only the symbols on it are traded, from any listener."
A broker refusal is written out the same way: "XAUUSD BUY could not be placed — Not enough free margin on the account for this position size."
The outcome filters are "Any outcome", "Traded", "Skipped", "Held", "Not a signal", "Could not read", "Too old" and "Tests (dry runs)". "Held" gathers the signals only watched, awaiting your approval, rejected, or whose approval expired.

## Retry a refused signal, or force its placement
When a rule of yours refused a good signal, there are two ways back while it is younger than "Max signal age (min)". "Retry this signal" judges it again with your settings as they are now, after you fix the one that stopped it. "Force placement…" leaves your settings as they are, sets aside the rule that refused it for that one signal, and first shows exactly what it would place.
1. Open the refused signal from the Dashboard or from "Browse all signals".
2. To keep your settings, click "Force placement…". It is there when a rule of yours refused the signal: your sizing, your limits, or your listener's rules for where the price stands.
3. If it can be placed two ways, pick one: "Now, at market" or "As a limit at" the signal's entry.
4. Read what it would place: the orders, the money lost if every stop-loss is hit, the margin afterwards.
5. Click "Place 0.01 lots" (the size it shows), or "Cancel".
6. Or fix the setting that stopped it and click "Retry this signal".
Example: a small account: Risk 1% of 412.30 USD with a stop 1,100 points away comes to 0.004 lots, below the broker's smallest lot of 0.01, so the signal is refused. "Force placement…" shows one order of 0.01 lots and 11.00 USD lost if its stop-loss is hit: 2.67% of the account, not the 1% you set.
A forced placement can risk more than your settings allow, as in the example. The window says how much before you click, and nothing bigger than it showed is ever placed.
It sets aside the rule of yours that refused the signal, for that signal only: a size below the broker's smallest lot, which then goes at that lot; "Max total lots", "Max lots per symbol" and "Max margin use %"; "Max daily loss" and "Max traded signals per day"; "Max open positions", "Max open positions per symbol" and "Max signals open at once"; a listener's own versions of them; "Require stop-loss", which then uses your default stop for the symbol; and "Require full signal", which then places the parts that fit. Your settings stay as they are.
When where the price stands refused it (already past some of its take-profits, past the listener's "Max entry deviation", or already better than the entry of a listener that waits with a limit), you choose how. "Now, at market" enters at the market price with the take-profits still ahead and leaves out the ones already passed. "As a limit at" the entry rests the whole signal there with every take-profit, never enters at market, and is cancelled if the price has not come back within the listener's "Cancel a limit or stop order not filled after", 30 by default. Each way shows its own orders and the money at stake.
It is never offered past "Lowest equity to trade", the trading switch or "Trading hours", "Pause between signals (seconds)", or when the trades would need more margin than the account has free. Every other rule still applies when you place it.
The app works the size out again when you click. If it has grown since, nothing is placed and the window shows the new plan.
A signal your trading rules refused can be sent through again. Fix the setting that stopped it, open the signal and click "Retry this signal": it is judged with your settings as they are now, on the same record, while it is younger than "Max signal age (min)". A retry that trades turns the refusal into the trade. A signal only watched, too old, or refused for a reason no setting changes cannot be retried.
In the Desk on relay2trade.com a refused signal offers the same two: "Try again" and "Force placement".
The signal's story notes "Force placement asked from the window", and the trade that follows is on the same record.

## The Activity list: every line the app wrote
Activity is the running log of the profile: verdicts, trades placed and filled, stops moved, follow-ups and closes with their reason, such as "take profit" or "stop loss". Click a line to open its signal.
Messages the prefilter set aside and messages read as "not a signal" are not in Activity: they are listed under Signals → "Every message" for a week.
The lines cover verdicts, trades placed and filled, partial exits, stops moved forward as targets fill, runner stops, follow-ups, closes with their reason ("take profit", "stop loss", "closed by hand", "closed by app", "expired before it filled") and notes about your daily signals.
You choose 15, 30 or 50 lines a page and "newest first ↓" or "oldest first ↑". Lines are kept 180 days on your computer. Older pages are fetched from relay2trade.com while "Sync activity" is on.

## Open positions, Close and approvals
"Open positions" lists what the app has open in the profile you are looking at, with a "floating total" underneath. "Close" closes that position at market after you confirm. Signals that need your decision wait above it, under "Awaiting your approval", for 10 minutes each.
The list shows the trades the app opened. Trades you open by hand in MetaTrader stay yours: the app leaves them alone, and you follow them in MetaTrader.
Each row has the signal link, ticket, side, symbol, lots, entry, stop-loss, take-profit and the running result. A trade with no take-profit carries a "Runner" badge. Prices refresh every few seconds, so a small delay is normal.
The confirmation reads, for example, "Close XAUUSD #123456 at market?". If the stop or the target got there first, the app tells you it was already closed.
A waiting signal has "Trade it" and "Dismiss". After "Trade it" the app says whether it was placed and, if not, why. A dismissed signal, or one whose time to be approved ran out, shows as rejected or expired in the signal list. The queue survives a restart or an update of the app.
Under the positions, "Waiting orders" lists the limit and stop orders waiting at your broker: where each waits, its stop-loss and take-profit, and "cancelled in N min if not filled" or "waits until cancelled". "Cancel" removes one after you confirm. On a netting account the partial closes waiting at their targets are listed too; they go with their position.

## The bell and the emails
The bell at the top is one inbox for every profile. It tells you when a trade opened, was skipped or could not be placed, waits for your approval, or closed with its result. Emails are for account and security, billing and support answers.
A trade notice reads, for example, "XAUUSD BUY opened · 0.15 lots". Skips and failed orders carry the reason, and closes carry the result. The bell also tells you when a follow-up was applied, when MetaTrader 5 disconnected or came back, and when settings were changed from the web. With more than one profile, every notice starts with the profile's name.
Opening the bell marks everything read. "Mark all read" and "Clear" are at the top. Progression moments, such as a new level or a finished dry run, land in the same list. A listener on Watch records quietly, so its signals produce no notice.
By email you get account and security messages (a new sign-in, two-factor turned off, the app signed out), billing (payments, renewals, reminders 7, 3 and 1 day before a renewal or the end of your access) and answers to your support tickets. Levels and badges stay in the app.

## The Desk: follow and steer the app from your phone
On relay2trade.com, "Desk" in the menu opens relay2trade.com/control. It shows every profile live: whether the app is online, MetaTrader, Telegram and the listeners, today's result, open positions, and every signal with its story. You also act there: approve signals, close trades, pause trading, connect MetaTrader and Telegram, add listeners and change settings.
1. In the app open Settings → Application → "Remote control & sync" and keep "Remote control", "Sync activity" and "Sync settings & listeners" on.
2. On relay2trade.com click "Desk" in the menu and sign in.
3. On your phone, install it like an app ("Install the Desk as an app"), so it opens from your home screen.
4. To change a setting, open "Settings", pick its section and change the value. There is nothing to save: each change is kept as you make it, with a tick beside the setting.
5. To approve a signal, use "Trade it" or "Dismiss" under Signals → "Waiting for you". To close a trade, use "Close" on Positions.
Your settings are there from the moment your account is made, before any app has run. A change shows "Saving…", then "Saved" once the app has answered, within seconds while it is running; while no app runs, the change is kept for its next start.
The app keeps one outbound connection to relay2trade.com. It sends its status over it and takes your commands from the Desk over it, so no port on your computer is opened. Most actions need the app running.
The three switches are "Remote control", "Sync activity" and "Sync settings & listeners", all on by default. "Remote control" is also in the Desk, under Settings → "Account settings", and on the website's Account page. The Desk works in any browser.
Listeners are added, set up and removed under Connections, below their Telegram. A listener opens as a screen of its own, and a group with topics has "Choose topics" there.
The app picks changes up while it is running and signed in to the same account. A value the app would refuse is refused on the page first, naming the setting, and nothing is saved.
Pause, on the profile's card, stops new trades until you press "Resume". Open positions stay at the broker with their stop-loss and take-profit. If the profile uses its own terminal, that terminal closes, so moving stops and trailing runners also wait until you resume.

## Two-factor, sessions and what leaves your PC
Two-factor is a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, and it is optional. With it on, the code is asked when you sign in with your password, and when a browser signed in that way turns two-factor off, makes new recovery codes or deletes the account; a browser signed in with Google confirms those with Google. Acting on the app from the Desk, and its switches, ask for none. What leaves your computer is set by four switches in the app, under Settings → Application → "Remote control & sync".
1. On relay2trade.com open Account → "Security" and click "Enable two-factor".
2. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, type the 6-digit code and click "Confirm & turn on".
3. Save the 8 recovery codes. They are shown once, and each works once if you lose your authenticator.
Keep the recovery codes. Without the authenticator and without them, getting back into your account goes through support.
The four switches are all on by default. "Remote control" is the master switch. "Sync activity" sends each profile's MetaTrader and Telegram status, the signals as they were read, and the activity lines. "Sync settings & listeners" keeps a backup of your settings and lets you change them in the Desk. "Sync original messages" also keeps the original text of each signal message with the signal in your account.
With "Sync original messages" off, only the parsed fields leave your PC. The Desk then shows what was read without the message, and after a reinstall the story and "Read wrong?" will not have the text either.
With "Remote control" off, the app sends nothing to the Desk and takes no commands from it, and unused signals are no longer handed back to your daily allowance. The licence check every 10 minutes still reports that each profile is online.
Your Relay2Trade and broker passwords and the Telegram session never leave this computer. Of the application's own settings (Settings → "Application") only "Language", the "Remote control & sync" switches and "MetaTrader link" go with your account; the rest stays on the computer. Dry-run starts and results (without message text), error reports, your support tickets and, with each licence check, today's counts and whether MetaTrader and Telegram are connected (numbers and yes/no only, to keep your level moving) are always sent.
The "Security" page on the website lists "Active sessions" with device, IP and last activity, with "Sign out" for one and "Sign out all other devices". Every "New sign-in to your account" email carries "This wasn't me — secure my account". One click signs out every browser and emails you a password-reset link. Two-factor stays on. Resetting the password also signs the desktop app out, so sign in there again afterwards.

## Common setups
- I want to check the app from my phone → Settings → Application → Remote control & sync → Remote control → On; Settings → Application → Remote control & sync → Sync activity → On; Phone browser → relay2trade.com → "Desk" (Both switches are on by default, the phone only needs its browser, and the Desk installs like an app.)
- I want to change a setting while I am away from the PC → Settings → Application → Remote control & sync → Remote control → On; Settings → Application → Remote control & sync → Sync settings & listeners → On; Desk → Settings → the section → the setting (Both switches are on by default. The app takes the change within seconds while it runs.)
- I want to pause trading from my phone → Settings → Application → Remote control & sync → Remote control → On; Desk → the profile's card → "Pause"; Later → the same card → "Resume" (The app has to be running to take the pause. New trades stop until you resume. Open positions stay at the broker with their stop-loss and take-profit.)
- I want to know why nothing shows up for a message → Signals → "Every message" (Messages the prefilter set aside ("skipped, not read") and the ones read but not a signal ("read, not a signal") are listed there for a week.)
- I want to close one trade right now → Dashboard → Open positions → "Close"; Confirm "Close … at market?" (It closes at the market price of that moment. Away from the PC, "Close" on Positions in the Desk does the same.)
- I want to see how one group did last week → Dashboard → range selector → Last 7 days; Dashboard → Listener performance → click the group's row (The row shows traded / signals and the net result. A click filters Signals and Activity to that group.)
- I want the text of my paid group to stay on my PC → Settings → Application → Remote control & sync → Sync original messages → Off (Only the parsed fields leave your PC. The Desk shows signals without the message text.)
- I want nothing to sync at all → Settings → Application → Remote control & sync → Remote control → Off (The Desk gets nothing new and cannot send the app commands. The licence check still reports that each profile is online.)
- I think someone else signed in to my account → Email "New sign-in to your account" → "This wasn't me — secure my account"; Or: relay2trade.com → Account → Security → "Sign out all other devices"; Then set a new password from the reset email (The button signs out every browser and emails a password-reset link. Resetting the password also signs the desktop app out.)

## Common pitfalls
- "Where do I get the app for my phone?" — Run it on your device or on a VPS and follow it from your phone in the Desk on relay2trade.com, which installs like an app. A full phone app is on its way.
- "The listener is green but nothing appears in Activity." — The message was set aside by the prefilter or read as "not a signal". Neither shows in Activity: open Signals and choose "Every message".
- "My manual trades are missing from Open positions." — The list shows the trades the app opened, and those are the ones it manages. Trades you open by hand stay in MetaTrader, untouched.
- "I changed a setting on the website but the app still shows the old value." — The app takes a change from the Desk within seconds while it is running and signed in to the same account. While it is offline the change waits, and the page says so.
- "The Desk will not let me change settings." — Keep "Remote control" and "Sync settings & listeners" on, in the app under Settings → Application → "Remote control & sync"; with either off, the page says so. The settings themselves are there from the moment your account is made, with no app needed. No code is asked.
- "I switched profiles and my trades disappeared." — The Dashboard shows one profile at a time, and every profile keeps running. Switch back with "Trading as". The bell shows all profiles.
- "I clicked Force placement and it risked more than my 1%." — Force placement sets aside the rule of yours that refused that one signal: a size below the broker's smallest lot goes at that lot. The window showed the money at risk before you clicked.
- "The app says Relay2Trade is having an outage. What do I change?" — Nothing. The problem is on our side, your app keeps running and picks up where it left off. "Service status" shows which part is affected.

Q: Does Relay2Trade have a mobile app?
A: Relay2Trade is a desktop app, not a phone app. It runs on your device or on a VPS. You follow your trades from any phone in the Desk on relay2trade.com, which installs like an app. A full phone app is on its way.

Q: Can I close or approve a trade from the website?
A: Yes, in the Desk, with the app running: "Close" or "Close all" on Positions, "Cancel" on a waiting order, "Trade it" or "Dismiss" under Signals → "Waiting for you", and "Force placement" or "Try again" on a refused signal. It trades only signals the app received.

Q: How do I find out why a signal was skipped?
A: Click the signal on the Dashboard. The reason is under the levels, in plain words, and names the setting that stopped it, for example "Max entry deviation" or "Max traded signals per day". A "Go to" button under the reason opens that setting.

Q: Does Relay2Trade store my Telegram messages on its servers?
A: A message that looks like a signal is sent for reading. Its text is kept in your account only while "Sync original messages" is on, the default. A "Read wrong?" correction also sends the text, for a person to review. Passwords and the Telegram session never leave your computer.

Q: Is two-factor required to use Relay2Trade?
A: No, it is optional. With it on, the code is asked when you sign in with your password, and when a browser signed in that way turns two-factor off, makes new recovery codes or deletes the account; a browser signed in with Google confirms those with Google. Approving, closing, pausing, changing settings and switching "Remote control" from the Desk or the website ask for no code.

Q: Does the app notify me when a trade is opened or closed?
A: Yes, in the bell inside the app: opened, skipped with the reason, could not be placed, waiting for approval, and closed with the result. Emails are kept for account, billing and support matters.
