# Using an AI assistant with Relay2Trade

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant to your Relay2Trade account and it can set things up with you: see where your account stands, get the app running on a VPS, add and tune your listeners, change your settings, read your signals and notifications, use your items, shop with your Sparks, write to support and prepare the payment for a plan. What an assistant can and cannot do, how to connect it, signing up through one, and how to disconnect it.

## What an assistant can do

Once you allow it, an assistant can:

- see where your account stands: your plan and access, where your app runs, whether MetaTrader 5 and Telegram are connected on each profile, and what needs your attention;
- read your plan's limits and how much of each you have used today or this month, with the extras your items add and until when;
- read your notifications, so it knows what happened on your account;
- explain how anything works, from the help articles;
- create your "VPS: Quick install" (when your plan holds it, or your demo day waits for it) and follow it until the app on it is signed in;
- choose which computer or VPS runs the app, when you have more than one;
- create, rename and delete profiles (the app does it when it next runs; your last profile stays);
- read and change your profiles' settings, with the same checks and plan limits as the Desk;
- add a listener for a group or channel your Telegram sees, choose its mode (Watch, Manual or Auto) and topics, change its settings and the settings it has of its own, and remove it;
- read your signals and each signal's story, to explain why one was traded or skipped;
- read your inventory, what is running and the rewards waiting, and use an item for you;
- read the shop, your Sparks and the promotions and discounts waiting for you, buy an item with your Sparks, and prepare the payment page for a Sparks package;
- read your conversations with support, open a new one or reply, in your name;
- change your name, the account's language, the "app gone quiet" emails, your board name, whether you are listed on the boards, and your look;
- prepare the payment page for a plan, with or without the VPS.

## What stays with you

An assistant never:

- approves, dismisses or acts on a signal, or opens or closes a trade;
- turns a profile's trading on or off;
- sees a password or a code. Your MetaTrader 5 password, Telegram's login code and your Relay2Trade password are typed in the Desk only, and the assistant sends you there;
- changes your email, your password or your consents (news by email, measuring);
- pays money for anything. You pay on Stripe's page yourself; changing a plan that already runs, or adding the VPS to it, is confirmed by you in the Desk under Account → "Plan & billing". Sparks you already have it may spend in the shop when you ask it to.

Before it changes something (a profile, a setting, a listener, the computer that runs the app, a VPS, an item, a purchase with Sparks, a message to support), the assistant should tell you what will happen. A listener in Auto trades each signal at once while the profile's trading is on. Everything it changes shows in the Desk like any other change, and each change leaves a notice in your inbox saying which assistant did it.

## Connecting an assistant

1. In your assistant's settings, add a connector (also called a custom MCP server) with the address `https://relay2trade.com/mcp`.
2. A Relay2Trade page opens. Sign in, or create your account there.
3. The page "Allow … to use your Relay2Trade account" names the assistant and the site it returns to, and lists what it will and will not be able to do. Check them and press "Allow".

The assistant is connected. It stays connected while you use it; after three months without use it asks you again.

Each assistant has its own menus for step 1; the steps for the common ones follow. Menus move from time to time: look for "connectors", "apps" or "custom MCP server" in your assistant's settings. After a Relay2Trade update that adds abilities, disconnect the connector and connect it again, and start a new chat: assistants keep the list of what a connector can do from when it was added.

## Connecting Claude

On claude.ai, Claude's apps for computers and phones use the same connectors.

1. Open Customize → Connectors.
2. Press "+ Add", then "Add custom connector".
3. Name it Relay2Trade, paste `https://relay2trade.com/mcp` and press "Continue", then "Add".
4. Sign in on the Relay2Trade page that opens and press "Allow".
5. In a chat, press "+", then "Connectors", and switch Relay2Trade on.

Claude's free plan takes one custom connector; its paid plans take more.

## Connecting ChatGPT

ChatGPT takes custom connectors on the web with developer mode on: in full on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu (where the workspace's admin allows it), and for reading only on Pro. Other plans cannot add one yet.

1. Turn on developer mode in ChatGPT's settings (on a workspace, the admin turns it on first).
2. Create an app (a connector) with the address `https://relay2trade.com/mcp` and OAuth sign-in.
3. Sign in on the Relay2Trade page that opens and press "Allow".
4. In a chat, add Relay2Trade from the "+" menu.

On Pro, read-only means the assistant can read your account but not change anything.

## Connecting Gemini

Google offers custom apps in the Gemini web app, for now in the US, to personal Google accounts of people over 18, in English, with Keep Activity on.

1. On gemini.google.com, open Settings, then Connected Apps.
2. Under "Custom apps", press "Add a custom app" and paste `https://relay2trade.com/mcp`.
3. Press "Next", sign in on the Relay2Trade page that opens and press "Allow".

Once connected on the web, it works in the Gemini phone app too.

## Connecting Le Chat (Mistral)

Le Chat takes custom connectors on every plan, the free one too.

1. Open Connectors and press "+ Add Connector".
2. Choose the "Custom MCP Connector" tab, name it Relay2Trade and paste `https://relay2trade.com/mcp`.
3. Press "Connect", sign in on the Relay2Trade page that opens and press "Allow".

## Other assistants

Any assistant that takes a custom MCP server over the internet (also called a remote MCP server, with OAuth sign-in) connects the same way, with the same address.

## Signing up through an assistant

An assistant can start your account for you: tell it your email and name, and it gives you a link (`https://relay2trade.com/control/connect/…`) and a short code.

1. Open the link. With a new email, the Desk's "Create your account" opens with your email and name typed in.
2. Choose your password, or continue with Google, and tick the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy yourself.
3. Confirm your email with the link in "Welcome: confirm your email". With Google there is nothing to confirm.
4. The page "Allow … to use your Relay2Trade account" shows the code the assistant gave you. If it matches, press "Allow".

The link works for ten minutes. If it runs out while you open your account, ask the assistant for a new one: your account is there by then, so you only sign in and allow it. A new account gets the free demo day, as every account does: https://relay2trade.com/help/getting-started.md.

## Disconnecting an assistant

In the Desk, open Account → "Security" → "AI assistants". Each assistant you allowed is listed with when you allowed it and when it was last used. "Disconnect" stops it at once; it can ask you again later.

## Assistants without a connection

An assistant that is not connected can still help you from the public help: these articles (https://relay2trade.com/help), the facts at https://relay2trade.com/llms.txt and every public page in plain text. It cannot see your account.

## If something goes wrong

- **The assistant says your email is not confirmed.** Open "Welcome: confirm your email" and its link, or sign in to the Desk and press "Resend the email".
- **The code has run out.** Ask the assistant for a new link.
- **The assistant cannot turn trading on, act on a signal or close a trade.** Those stay with you, in the Desk.
- **The assistant cannot see your Telegram groups.** The app must be running and Telegram signed in on that profile: it reads the list from your Telegram when asked.
- **The assistant asks for a password or a code.** Do not give it: type it in the Desk only. Relay2Trade never needs an assistant to have it.
- **You no longer want an assistant to have access.** Disconnect it under Account → "Security" → "AI assistants".
