# What Relay2Trade is

Relay2Trade copies trading signals from the Telegram groups and channels you follow into your own MetaTrader 5 account, inside limits you set. The words you meet (the app, the Desk, profiles, listeners, the signal story, plans), what happens from a Telegram message to a MetaTrader order, and what Relay2Trade needs from you.

## Relay2Trade in one paragraph

Relay2Trade is a Telegram signal copier for MetaTrader 5. You choose the groups and channels. AI reads each message, in any format and language, and the app places the trade on your own MetaTrader 5 account, at any broker, within the limits you set. The AI comes with every plan: there is no AI account to open and no API key to paste. Relay2Trade is software: it follows your configuration on your own account. It does not pick trades, send signals, manage money or decide anything for you.

## The words you meet

### The app

The app is the program that does the trading. It reads your Telegram groups, works out the trade in each signal, checks it against your settings and places the orders in MetaTrader 5. It trades only while it is running, so where it runs decides when it trades:

- on a VPS (a computer in a data centre that stays on), around the clock;
- on your own Windows PC (Windows 10 or 11) or Linux machine, while that machine is on and awake.

One account runs one app at a time. You choose where it runs in the Desk, and you can move it whenever you like. See https://relay2trade.com/help/where-the-app-runs.md.

On Windows the app has a window and sits in the tray near the clock. On a VPS set up from the Desk, or on Linux, it has no window: you manage it entirely from the Desk.

### The Desk

The Desk is the remote control, at relay2trade.com/control. It works in any browser, on a computer, a tablet or a phone. From the Desk you:

- choose where the app runs and set it up there;
- sign in MetaTrader 5 and Telegram, and add listeners;
- see your profiles, open positions and every signal with what happened to it;
- approve or dismiss signals waiting for you, close trades, pause or resume trading;
- change every setting;
- manage your plan, billing, security and support.

The trading itself always happens in the app. When the Desk says "Your app is offline", nothing is being traded until the app runs again.

On a phone you can install the Desk on the home screen, where it opens like an app and brings its notifications: on Android, in the browser's menu choose "Install app" or "Add to Home screen"; on an iPhone or iPad, open the Desk in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen". Proper Android and iOS apps with the Desk inside are coming soon. See https://relay2trade.com/help/the-desk-and-phone-app.md.

### A profile

A profile is one MetaTrader 5 account and everything around it: its own settings (risk, symbols, limits), its own MetaTrader 5 terminal, its own Telegram sign-in and its own listeners. Each profile gets a MetaTrader 5 of its own, which the app sets up by itself. Two profiles never share one terminal, and two profiles can read two different Telegram accounts. Your plan decides how many profiles trade at the same time. See https://relay2trade.com/help/profiles-and-accounts.md.

### A listener

A listener reads one Telegram chat (a group, a channel, or chosen topics of a group with topics) and trades what it posts, by the profile's settings and its own. Each listener has a mode:

- "Watch — record only": it reads and shows what the group posts, and never trades. A way to see a group before trusting it.
- "Manual — wait for my approval": every signal waits for you to trade it or dismiss it, in the Desk or in the app. A signal waits ten minutes.
- "Auto — trade immediately": every signal it reads is traded at once, by your settings.

A listener can also have "Settings of its own" where a group should trade differently from the profile. Your plan decides how many listeners run at once, across all profiles. See https://relay2trade.com/help/listeners-and-modes.md.

### A dry run

A dry run replays a group's latest messages through the same reading and the same rules the app uses live, then replays each would-be trade on the price history. Nothing is placed. It is the quickest way to judge a group before trusting it. Your plan sets how many dry runs you have a month and how many messages each one reads.

### The signal story

Every message the app reads keeps its story: the message itself, how it was read (instrument, direction, entry, stop-loss, take-profits), every rule it passed or failed, each order placed and its result, and later changes such as a stop moved or a trade closed. You find it in the Desk under Signals: pick a signal and read "What happened". When a signal was not placed, the story says why and offers what you can do ("Try again", "Force placement", "Go to …" the setting that stopped it, or "Read wrong?" to report a misreading). See https://relay2trade.com/help/the-signal-story.md and https://relay2trade.com/help/why-a-signal-was-skipped.md.

### Plans and the licence

The app is free to download. A Relay2Trade licence (a plan) makes it trade. The plans are "7 days", "Basic", "Advanced" and "Pro". They differ in how many profiles trade at once, how many listeners run at once, how many positions a profile may keep open, how many signals are traded a day, how many dry runs you get a month and how many messages each one reads. The trading features are the same on every plan. Basic, Advanced and Pro can also be paid yearly where the Desk offers it, under Account → "Plan & billing". A new account gets a demo day: a full day of the Basic plan, with no bank card. You pay by card, prices are in EUR with VAT included, and you can cancel any time and keep access to the end of the paid period. See https://relay2trade.com/help/plans-licence-billing.md.

Around the trading, the app also keeps score of how you use it (levels, seasons, Sparks, a shop of convenience cards and looks). It never touches your trading results. See https://relay2trade.com/help/levels-seasons-shop.md.

## From a Telegram message to a MetaTrader order

1. **The message arrives.** The app receives it through your own Telegram sign-in, like any other Telegram app you are signed in on. It only looks at chats that have a listener.
2. **A quick first cut.** A message goes further when it has a number and either a trading word (buy, sell, TP, SL and their equivalents in many languages) or an instrument with its prices. A follow-up with no number, such as "close it", is read while that group has a trade open or an order waiting. Chatter is set aside and listed under "Every message" in Signals for a week; you can still have it read with "Read it anyway".
3. **AI reads it.** The message text is sent to Relay2Trade, where AI answers one narrow question: is this a trade instruction, and if so, what are the instrument, direction, entry, stop-loss and take-profits? "Gold" becomes XAUUSD, entry zones and levels given in pips or percent are understood, and recaps, results and "TP hit" posts come back as not a signal. The reading itself keeps none of the text.
4. **Your rules decide.** Where the app runs, the signal meets your settings: allowed symbols, trading hours and days, daily loss limit and equity floor, position and lot limits, spread, how far the price has moved from the entry, whether a stop-loss is required. The size comes from your sizing mode (a percentage of the account, an amount of money at risk, or fixed lots). A signal that fails a rule is skipped with the reason in its story; a likely duplicate waits for your approval.
5. **The order is placed.** The app's trading bridge in MetaTrader 5 places the orders: at market, or as pending orders at the stated entry. Several take-profits become a trade for each, one trade that closes a part at each, or one trade at the nearest or the furthest, as you choose. In Manual mode this step waits for your click; in Watch mode nothing is placed.
6. **The trade is looked after.** As take-profits fill, the stop on what is still open can move forward (to the entry, behind the previous take-profit, in steps), never back. Pending orders expire after the time you set. A later message about the same trade ("SL to entry", "close half", a new stop or target) is applied to that trade once you switch following on.
7. **The story is kept.** Everything above is written into the signal's story, in the app and in the Desk.

From the moment a message reaches the app to the order being sent, the median is 0.6 seconds, measured over more than 1,300 traded signals. How fast Telegram delivers the message and how fast your broker fills the order are outside Relay2Trade's control.

The trading bridge only touches positions it opened itself. Your manual trades and any other Expert Advisors in MetaTrader are left alone.

## What Relay2Trade needs from you

- **A place where the app stays on.** A VPS set up from the Desk, or your own Windows PC or Linux machine while it is on. There is no app for macOS: on a Mac, or with only a phone, you run the app on a VPS and follow it in the Desk.
- **A MetaTrader 5 account at any broker.** Live or demo, with its account number, trading password and server name. A demo account trades like a live one with no real money at stake, and is the right place to start. MetaTrader 4 is not supported: most brokers offer an MT5 account next to MT4. You do not need to install MetaTrader yourself: the app does it.
- **A Telegram account** that is already a member of the groups or channels you want to copy. Being a member is enough: you do not need to be an admin. The app reads, and never posts or joins anything.
- **A Relay2Trade account and a licence.** Start with the demo day, then pick a plan.

## What Relay2Trade does not do

- It does not hold your money and cannot deposit, move or withdraw anything. Your account stays at your broker, under their terms.
- It does not choose trades, send signals or recommend groups, brokers or settings. The quality of the signals depends on the groups you choose.
- It does not promise results. Leveraged trading carries high risk, most retail accounts lose money, and signals are not investment advice. Trade only money you can afford to lose, and start on a demo account.

On your own computer, your broker login and your Telegram session stay on that computer. relay2trade.com holds your Relay2Trade account, your licence and invoices, your progress and, while "Remote control" is on, your app's status, your settings and a summary of its signals.
