# Your limits explained

How your plan limits are worked out: what each limit counts, what adds to it (levels, cards, invited friends, prizes and gifts), how the parts add up and for how long, when the daily and monthly counts start again, what happens the moment a limit is reached, and where the Desk shows it all.

For the plans, prices and paying, see https://relay2trade.com/help/plans-licence-billing.md.

## The limits

Every plan has every feature. What differs is how much runs at the same time and how much is read in a day or a month.

| Limit | 7 days | Basic | Advanced | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| "Profiles trading at once" | 1 | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| "Listeners running at once" | 1 | 2 | 4 | 6 |
| "Open positions at once, per profile" | 10 | 10 | 50 | 100 |
| "Signals per day" | 10 | 15 | 35 | 50 |
| "Dry runs per month" | 10 | 15 | 25 | 35 |
| "Messages per dry run" | 25 | 25 | 50 | 100 |
| "Streak shields earned" | 3 | 3 | 5 | 10 |

A yearly plan has exactly the limits of the monthly plan of the same name.

## Two kinds of limit: at once, and per day or month

**Limits "at once"** count what is switched on right now. Nothing is used up, and switching one thing off makes room for another straight away.

- **"Profiles trading at once"**: a profile is one MetaTrader 5 account with its own settings. You can create as many profiles as you like; the limit counts the ones whose trading is on. A profile you stop ("Pause" in the Desk) does not count.
- **"Listeners running at once"**: a listener is a Telegram group or channel the app reads. The count is shared by all your profiles: with three, you can run all three on one profile, or two on one and one on another. Every listener that is switched on counts, on every profile; a switched-off listener is free. The same group read on two profiles is two listeners.
- **"Open positions at once, per profile"**: the highest "Max open positions" you can set on one profile. Each profile has its own.
- **"Messages per dry run"**: how many of a group's latest messages one dry run reads, chat and follow-ups included.
- **"Streak shields earned"**: how many shields your streak tops itself up to (one every 7 streak days). Shield cards add on top, with no cap. See https://relay2trade.com/help/xp-and-levels.md.

**Counted limits** are used up as you go and start again on a clock:

- **"Signals per day"**: messages read as a signal today.
- **"Dry runs per month"**: dry runs started this month.

## What counts as a signal

A message counts once, when it is read as at least one real signal and at least one of its orders did its job: it was placed (even in part), it was skipped by one of your rules (risk, a daily line, a price that moved), it was recorded on a "Watch — record only" listener, or it waited for your approval.

These never count:

- chat, reports and analysis that are not a call to trade;
- follow-up instructions about a trade already open ("SL to entry", "close half");
- messages that could not be read;
- messages too old to act on, and messages without a number and a trading word (unless the listener's "Read calls without a number" is on), which are never sent to be read;
- messages read in a dry run, which use the dry run's own allowance.

**Given back.** A signal that counted is given back when none of its orders did anything: it was a duplicate of a recent signal, MetaTrader refused every order, an error on our side stopped it, trading was switched off on the profile, or no MetaTrader was connected. The app gives it back by itself within seconds, while "Remote control" and "Sync activity" are on in the app (Settings → "Application" → "Remote control & sync"), which is the default.

**Reported as read wrong.** When you press "Read wrong?" on a signal and our review finds it was read wrong, you get it back: "We also gave the signal back: you have one more signal for today." It is one more on top of your limit for the day the review was decided.

A message read on two profiles counts once on each, because each profile reads and trades it on its own.

## When the counts start again

- **"Signals per day"** starts again at **00:00 UTC** every day. That is a fixed clock for every account, separate from the broker's day that your own daily limits use (see https://relay2trade.com/help/daily-limits.md).
- **"Dry runs per month"** starts again on the **1st of each month, 00:00 UTC**. It follows the calendar month, whatever your billing date.
- **Buying a plan or moving up starts both counts afresh.** When you buy a plan with no subscription running, or move up to a higher plan, what you used earlier that day or month is no longer held against you. A renewal, moving down or changing between monthly and yearly on the same plan does not reset them.

## How your limits are worked out

Each limit is built from parts, the same way in the Desk and the app:

**( plan + permanent extras + extra cards × (1 + amplifiers) ) × multiplier cards**

- **Plan**: the number your plan gives on its own. When our team gives your account a higher number for a limit, that number takes the place of the plan's and the Desk names it "Granted"; it never lowers the plan's.
- **Permanent**: what your levels add, for good, on any plan. They add up as you climb: level 10 adds one listener, level 20 one profile, level 30 ten signals a day, level 40 one more profile and one more listener. Amplifiers never multiply them.
- **Extra cards** ("+N"): a card that adds to one limit, such as "One extra listener for 30 days" or "+25 signals a day". Every running card adds; nothing waits its turn.
- **Amplifiers** ("+1", "+2", "+3"): they make the extra cards of their limit count more. "+1 makes each count twice." With no extra card running for that limit, an amplifier adds nothing until one starts.
- **Multiplier cards** ("×N", such as "Double the signal quota"): they multiply the whole limit, plan, levels and cards alike. Two running at once add their numbers: ×2 and ×2 make ×4.

### Where the extras come from

- **Levels**: the permanent extras above. See https://relay2trade.com/help/xp-and-levels.md.
- **The shop**: extra cards, amplifiers and multipliers for Sparks, in the "Convenience" section. They land in your Inventory, or start at once with "Buy and start" from a limit. The shop shows the current prices. See https://relay2trade.com/help/levels-seasons-shop.md.
- **The season track and season prizes**: tiers pay cards such as "One extra listener for 30 days", and the top places of a season can win plan extras. See https://relay2trade.com/help/seasons.md.
- **Invited friends**: when ten friends you invited have subscribed, you get one extra profile for good. It shows among your extra cards, marked "for good".
- **Coupons, promotions and gifts from our team**: they can give the same cards. Cards go to your Inventory and start when you press "Use now".

### For how long

- Level extras and anything marked "for good" stay as long as your account exists, whatever plan you are on.
- A card runs from the moment you use it, for its own days, and then ends by itself. When the first of several running cards ends, the limit drops by that card's part.
- A number granted by our team runs until the date it was given for, or for good.
- The plan's own number changes with the plan: at once when you move up, at the end of the paid period when you move down.

## Which plan your limits follow

Your limits follow the plan that is running right now: your paid plan during its paid period, the plan of an access pass while the pass runs, and Basic during the demo day. Free days run at the plan they were added to (on the 7-day plan, at Basic). Your level extras and cards sit on top of whichever plan that is. How paid time, the demo day, free days and access passes follow one another is explained in https://relay2trade.com/help/subscriptions-and-time.md.

## Worked examples

The numbers in these examples come straight from the plan table above.

- **Basic, level 22.** Profiles: 1 + 1 (level 20). Listeners: 2 + 1 (level 10). Signals per day: 15, because level 30 is not reached yet.
- **Advanced, level 12, with "One extra listener for 30 days" (12 days left) and a second one just used.** Listeners: 4 + 1 (level 10) + 2 for 12 days, then 4 + 1 + 1 for the 18 days the newer card still has.
- **Pro, level 31, with "+10 signals a day", an amplifier "+1" and "Double the signal quota for 7 days".** Signals per day: (50 + 10 from level 30 + 10 × (1 + 1)) × 2, which is (50 + 30) × 2. When the double card ends, it is 50 + 30 again.
- **Basic with an amplifier and no extra card for signals.** Signals per day: 15. The amplifier waits: "An amplifier makes only the extra cards of this limit count more. It starts working as soon as one runs."
- **Ten invited friends, then a profile card.** Profiles on Basic: 1 + 1 (for good) + 1 (the card) while the card runs.

## Where to see your limits

**In the Desk:** Account → "Plan & billing" → "What your plan allows". Each limit shows its number, and the counted ones show how much is used (for example "8 / 15") with a bar that warns as you get close and turns red at the limit. Under each number its parts are laid out as the sum: "Plan" (or "Granted"), "Permanent", "Extra cards", "Amplified" and "Multiplier". Point at a part, or tap it, to see where it comes from, when a card ends ("Ends in 5 days" or "for good"), and how to fill an empty place: "Buy in the shop" or "Use from the inventory", with how many such cards wait in your Inventory.

The section is shown while your account has access: a running plan, free days, an access pass or the demo day.

**In the app:** the status bar shows today's signals (for example "8/15 signals today") and turns red at the limit; once it is full, click it to raise the limit. The Account page lists "Your plan" with each limit, "… used" for the counted ones and "until …" for a value that depends on a card.

## The moment a limit is reached

Nothing is deleted. The app and the Desk say what happened, in plain words, and offer the ways past it.

- **"Signals per day"**: from then on, no new message is read until 00:00 UTC: "Signal not processed: today's limit of 15 signals is reached." (with your own number). Each such message is listed in Signals with "The plan's daily signal limit was reached, so this message was not read." Follow-up instructions are read the same way, so they are not read either; trades already open stay at your broker with their own stop-loss and take-profit, and you can still manage them from Positions.
- **"Dry runs per month"**: "Dry run not started: this month's limit of 15 dry runs is reached." The Desk shows how many are left ("3 dry runs left this month, of …").
- **"Messages per dry run"**: the dry run reads the latest messages your plan allows and leaves the rest: "This dry run read the 25 messages your plan allows; the rest were left."
- **"Profiles trading at once"**: starting one more profile says "Your plan allows 2 profiles trading at once. Stop one to start another." (with your own number). A profile over the limit shows "Stopped by your plan": its MetaTrader and Telegram are off, and nothing is read or placed. In the Desk, "Trade on this profile" asks "The profile that stops" and "Switch trading" swaps them in one step, at no cost.
- **"Listeners running at once"**: "That would be … listeners running at once; your plan allows 4 across all profiles." A listener added over the limit is created switched off.
- **"Open positions at once, per profile"**: "Max open positions" cannot be saved above your number: "Your plan allows at most 10 positions open at once on a profile."

The first time you reach a limit, you also get two discounts for that limit, once ever: 10% off one of its extras in the shop and 10% off moving up to a plan that holds more, each used once within 30 days. The inbox says so ("Discounts for your … limit"), and the prices already include them.

## When your limits go down

When a card ends, your access pass ends, or you move to a smaller plan, the app holds what runs to the new numbers and tells you in your inbox:

- The newest listeners and profiles above the new numbers are switched off: "Listener Gold VIP switched off: your plan allows 4 running at once. Switch another off to bring it back." and "Profile … stopped trading: your plan allows 2 trading at once. Stop another to start it."
- A setting above the new limit, such as "Max open positions", stays as you set it, and the app runs at the plan's number: "Settings held to your plan: …".
- Trades already open stay at your broker with their own stop-loss and take-profit.
- A card that ended says so: "Your … ended" ("It ran until …").

When the limit rises again, what the plan stopped comes back by itself, the oldest first, as far as the new number goes: "Listener … is on again: your plan allows it." Room you make by switching something off yourself starts nothing by itself.

## Raising a limit

When you run into a limit, the window "You are at your plan's limit" opens with the ways past it. You can also open it with "Raise the limit" under a locked setting or the dry-run button, from the signal count in the app's status bar, or from a notice about a limit ("See plans" in the Desk's inbox).

1. **"Move up a plan"**: every plan that would give you more, with the number you would have there, your level extras and cards included. On free time the window also names the plan your free time runs at ("Your free time has the Basic plan's limits.", "Same limits as now"). "Change plan" or "Subscribe" takes you on.
2. **"Or add more with Sparks"**: the shop's extras for that limit, each with "Your limit becomes …". "Buy and start" spends the Sparks and starts the card at once; a listener added past the limit switches on. With too few Sparks the button says how many are missing; "Open the shop" and the Sparks packages are a tap away.
3. **"Stop a profile that runs"**, when a profile could not start: "Switch trading" stops one and starts the other.
4. **Use a card you already have**: Desk → Inventory → "Use now".
5. **Level up**: levels 10, 20, 30 and 40 add to your limits for good.

"Nothing raises this limit further right now." means no plan or extra on sale would give you more today.

## If something goes wrong

- **Signals are shown but not traded, with "Signal not processed: today's limit … is reached."** The daily plan count is used up. It starts again at 00:00 UTC; raise it from the window, or wait.
- **My count is higher than the trades I see.** Signals skipped by your own rules, recorded on a "Watch — record only" listener, or waiting for approval still count. Only duplicates, refusals by MetaTrader, errors, trading switched off and no MetaTrader are given back, and only while "Sync activity" is on.
- **A signal was not given back.** "Remote control" or "Sync activity" is off in the app. Turn them on under Settings → "Application" → "Remote control & sync".
- **I bought a card and my limit did not change.** A card from the shop or a reward waits in the Inventory until you press "Use now". "Buy and start" in the limit window starts it at once.
- **My amplifier does nothing.** It multiplies extra cards of its own limit only. Start a "+N" card for that limit.
- **A listener switched itself off.** A card ended or your plan changed; the inbox names it. Switch another off, or raise the limit, and it comes back.
- **I moved up and the count did not start again.** It starts afresh at the moment the higher plan begins; restart the app if it still shows the old numbers after a minute.
- **The Desk shows no "What your plan allows".** Your account has no access running. Choose a plan under Account → "Plan & billing".
