Several MetaTrader accounts, each with its own rules
A profile is one MetaTrader 5 account with its own terminal, Telegram login, listeners, settings and history. One licence covers all your profiles, and they all run at the same time on one computer.
- One Relay2Trade account covers several MetaTrader accounts: add a profile for each. Your plan sets how many trade at once (1, 2 or 3).
- All profiles run at the same time. "Trading as" at the top chooses which one the window shows. Nothing restarts when you switch.
- Every profile runs in a MetaTrader 5 of its own, which the app makes by itself: MetaTrader is logged in to one account at a time.
What a profile holds
A profile holds its MetaTrader 5 account and terminal, its Telegram connection, its listeners, its trading switch, the whole Settings page, and its own signals, positions and activity. Your sign-in, your licence and the application's own settings (Settings → "Application") are set once for all profiles.
Profile "Personal": your own 10,000 USD live account with "Risk % of equity" at 1, so one signal risks about 100 USD.
Profile "Second broker": a 50,000 USD account at another broker, with a smaller risk per signal.
Profile "Demo": a demo account where a new group runs on Auto with demo money.

All three read their groups and manage their trades at the same time, and the window shows one of them. Three profiles trading at once is the Pro plan. On Advanced two of them trade and the third stays stopped until you swap.
Every install starts with one profile named "Default". The Settings page of a profile covers sizing, take-profits, trailing, safety limits and the trading window.
Create a second profile
You need an active licence. You can create as many profiles as you like on any plan. The plan sets how many trade at the same time.
- 1
In the top bar click "Trading as", then "+ New profile".
- 2
Type a "Profile name", pick a "Colour" and a "Symbol", and click "Create profile".
- 3
On the Connections page log in to the profile's broker account; its own copy of MetaTrader 5 is made by itself.
- 4
In the "MetaTrader 5" box fill in "Account number", "Password" and "Broker server", then click "Connect".
- 5
In the "Telegram" box connect Telegram for this profile. Then open Listeners and click "+ Add listener".
More detail
The same "+ New profile" card is on the Account page under "Trading profiles". A profile name has up to 64 characters and differs from your other profiles. After "Create profile" the Connections page opens with "Profile created: log in to its MetaTrader account to start."
Some symbols show "Opens at level …": they become available as your level in the app grows. A new profile starts with the default settings, held to your plan.
The profile's own MetaTrader terminal
Every profile gets a separate copy of MetaTrader 5 in the app's folder, logged in to this profile's account. The MetaTrader you already use, with its charts and its login, stays as it is.
- 1
A new profile needs nothing: its own terminal is made by itself, and logging in is all there is to do.
- 2
For a profile you pointed at another install: open the Connections page, click "Change terminal" and choose "Its own terminal" (recommended).
- 3
Then log in to the broker account.

The other choices in the dialog are "Another install…" (a MetaTrader 5 you installed yourself) and "No terminal" (the profile only watches its listeners and nothing is placed). While the copy is made the app shows "Preparing this profile's terminal — a copy of MetaTrader 5 in the app's folder…".
The first time on a computer the app first installs a clean MetaTrader 5 from MetaQuotes for itself. It takes a few minutes, and Windows may ask you to allow MetaQuotes' installer.
Once connected, the "MetaTrader 5" box lists the profile's own "Account", "Broker", "Account type", "Terminal" and "Trading bridge".
Each MetaTrader terminal uses about 100–200 MB of memory and the app itself 200–400 MB. Add that up before you run three profiles on a small VPS.
Switch the profile you are looking at
Click "Trading as" in the top bar and choose a profile. The app confirms with "Now showing Demo". Nothing restarts. The profiles you are not looking at keep reading their groups, placing trades and managing positions.

The dot next to each name shows its state. Grey "stopped": trading is switched off. Green "running": trading is on and MetaTrader is connected. Amber: trading is on and something needs attention (no active licence, a MetaTrader problem, or "no terminal").
The Dashboard, Listeners, Settings and Connections pages show the selected profile. The bell shows all profiles, and once you have more than one, every notice starts with the profile name.
Stop trading on one profile
The "Trading" switch on the Connections page pauses one profile. The other profiles carry on. The open positions of the stopped profile stay as they are, with their stop-loss and take-profit at the broker.
- 1
Switch to the profile with "Trading as".
- 2
Open the Connections page, switch "Trading" off at the top right, then click "Yes, continue".
- 3
To resume, switch "Trading" on again. The listeners reconnect within 30 seconds.
Within 30 seconds the profile's Telegram connection closes. A signal that still arrives is recorded as "Signal skipped — trading is turned off".
The profile's own terminal is closed. Dry runs start only while trading is on.
More detail
While a profile is stopped, a limit order that expires is cancelled instead of being entered at market.
Before it stops, the app asks whether to stop trading on this profile and reminds you that its listeners disconnect, no new orders are placed and open positions are left alone.
The same switch is in the Desk on the website: "Pause" and "Resume" on the profile's card, for when you are away from the computer.
One group treated differently: settings of its own
To treat one group differently, change its listener and keep one profile. Every listener has its own "Mode", its entry rules under "Entry" and the symbols it may trade under "Symbols". Under "Settings of its own" it can take its own value for most of the profile's settings: size, take-profits and trailing, runners, stop-loss rules, spread and slippage, trading days and hours, and the group's messages after a signal. In the Desk each of those settings has an "Its own" switch; in the app it is "Add a setting of its own…", under "Settings of its own" on the open listener.
Double the size for one trusted group: its own "Risk % of equity" 2% where the profile risks 1% turns 0.50 lots into 1.00, still bounded by "Max lots per signal".
Runners in pips for a gold group: "Measure in" pips, "Start following at" 100, "Keep the stop behind by" 50. Its runners are followed from 10.00 in profit, with the stop 5.00 behind.
More detail
Each setting of its own shows the profile's value under it, for example "Profile: 1%". It replaces the profile's value for that group, and it may be looser as well as stricter.
Nine limits can be set per listener, only tighter than the profile's: "Max traded signals per day", "Max daily loss", "Daily profit target", "Max open positions", "Max open positions per symbol", "Max signals open at once", "Max total lots", "Max lots per symbol" and "Pause between signals (seconds)". The listener's own counts only its trades, the profile's counts every group, and whichever is reached first stops. "Symbols" can likewise only narrow the profile's "Allowed symbols".
These stay the profile's alone: "Max margin use %", "Lowest equity to trade", duplicates, "Max signal age (min)", the symbol whitelist and the symbol names.
What your plan counts
The plan counts profiles that are trading at the same time: 1 on Basic and on the 7-day plan, 2 on Advanced, 3 on Pro. Stopped profiles use no slot. Level 20 adds one profile, level 40 another, and ten subscribed friends add one for good.
More detail
Cards such as "One extra profile for 30 days" add one for a while.
When you start one more than the plan holds, the app says "Your plan allows 2 profiles trading at once. Stop one to start another." When your allowance goes down (a card ended, the plan changed), the newest profiles are stopped and the bell says "Profile Demo stopped trading: your plan allows 1 trading at once. Stop another to start it." Nothing is deleted.
Common setups
What you want, and the settings that give it.
I have accounts at two brokers, and I want both traded
- →Trading as → + New profile → "Second broker"
- →Connections → log in to the second account
- →Settings → Position sizing → Risk % of equity → 0.5
- →Leave the "Personal" profile as it is
Each account trades in its own terminal, with its own sizing and limits. Two profiles trading at once need Advanced or Pro.
I want the same group on two accounts, at different sizes
- →Profile A → Listeners → + Add listener → the group
- →Profile B → Listeners → + Add listener → the same group
- →Profile A → Settings → Position sizing → Risk % of equity → 1
- →Profile B → Settings → Position sizing → Risk % of equity → 0.5
Each account sizes the same signal itself: about 100 USD at 1% of 10,000 USD, about 50 at 0.5%.
I want to try a new group with demo money first
- →Trading as → + New profile → "Demo"
- →Connections → log in to a demo account
- →Listeners → + Add listener → Mode → Auto — trade immediately
Real orders, demo money. On Basic the demo profile takes the place of your live one while it runs.
One group on this account should trade smaller than the rest
- →Listener → Add a setting of its own… → Risk % of equity → 0.5
Where the profile risks 1% (0.40 lots), that group risks 0.5% (0.20 lots), with no second profile.
I want to pause one account over the holidays and keep the other running
- →Trading as → the account to pause
- →Connections → switch "Trading" off → Yes, continue
Open positions stay at the broker with their stop-loss and take-profit. Switching "Trading" on brings the profile back.
I have more profiles than my plan runs at once
- →Trading as → the profile to rest → Connections → switch "Trading" off
- →Trading as → the profile to run → Connections → switch "Trading" on
Only profiles that trade use a slot. Stopped profiles keep their settings, listeners and history.
I use two Telegram accounts, each with its own groups
- →Profile A → Connections → Telegram → "Log in with a QR code" with the first Telegram account
- →Profile B → Connections → Telegram → "Log in with a QR code" with the second Telegram account
Every profile has its own Telegram login, on this computer only, and lists only the groups of that account.
One busy group: take only the first target
- →Listener → Add a setting of its own… → Multiple take-profits → Nearest take-profit only
Its signals open one trade at TP1 with the whole size. Your other groups keep the profile's take-profit setting.
Common pitfalls
✕"I opened a second Relay2Trade account for my second MT5 account."
✓One account is enough. Create a second profile: one licence covers all your profiles, within your plan's "Profiles trading at once".
✕"I switched profiles and my trades disappeared."
✓The Dashboard shows the selected profile. Switch back with "Trading as". The other profile kept trading.
✕"I created three profiles but only one trades."
✓The plan sets how many trade at once: 1 on Basic, 2 on Advanced, 3 on Pro. Stop one to start another, or move to a plan that holds more.
✕"Both my profiles use the MetaTrader I already had installed."
✓MetaTrader is logged in to one account at a time, so every profile runs in a terminal of its own, made by the app. If you pointed two profiles at one install, open Connections, click "Change terminal" and choose "Its own terminal" for each.
✕"I stopped trading on a profile and its trailing stop no longer moves."
✓With the profile's own terminal closed, the app cannot move stops. The stop-loss and take-profit at the broker still work. Switch "Trading" back on and the app manages the trade again.
✕"I deleted a profile to free a slot and nothing changed."
✓Only a profile that was trading uses a slot. To free one, switching its "Trading" off is enough, and the profile keeps its settings and history.
✕"My listener's own Max open positions is 5, yet it stopped at 2."
✓The profile's limit counts the trades of every group, and the other groups had filled it. The listener's own limit and the profile's both apply, and whichever is reached first stops.
What your plan allows
Every plan lets you create as many profiles as you like, and every listener can have settings of its own. The plans differ in how many profiles and listeners run at once. On the 7-day plan: profiles trading at once 1, listeners running at once 1, open positions per profile 10.
| Basic | Advanced | Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Profiles trading at the same time | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| Listeners running at the same time, all profiles together | 2 | 4 | 6 |
| Open positions, per profile | 10 | 50 | 100 |
Frequently asked questions
Can Relay2Trade trade several MetaTrader 5 accounts at the same time?
Yes. Each account gets a profile with its own MetaTrader terminal, Telegram login, listeners and settings, and all profiles run at once on the same computer. Basic trades 1 profile at a time, Advanced 2 and Pro 3.
Do I need a separate licence for each MT5 account?
No. One licence covers all your profiles. The plan sets how many of them trade at the same time.
Can two profiles use different brokers?
Yes. Every profile logs in to its own MetaTrader 5 account in its own terminal, with any broker, live or demo.
Can I copy the same Telegram group to two accounts with different lot sizes?
Yes. Add the group as a listener on both profiles and set the sizing on each profile. Two profiles trading at once take the Advanced or Pro plan, and the group counts as two listeners. Each profile connects Telegram separately, and it can be the same Telegram account.
Do I need a demo profile to test a new group?
No. A listener on Watch plus a dry run judges a group without a second profile. A demo profile places real orders with demo money. On Basic one profile trades at a time, so the demo takes the place of your live profile while it runs.
What happens to my profiles if I move to a smaller plan?
Nothing is deleted. The newest profiles above the new limit are stopped and the app tells you which. Stop another one to start them.
Does stopping a profile close its open trades?
No. Open positions stay at the broker with their stop-loss and take-profit. The app manages them again when you switch "Trading" back on.
Risk a share of the account or a fixed amount per signal, cap what is open at once, and stop for the day after a set loss.
Add a Telegram group, pick Watch, Manual or Auto, and test the group on its own history before trusting it with money.
