Looks and your public profile

The icons, borders and titles you can wear in Relay2Trade, their rarities and where each comes from, how to change your look and your board name in the Desk, where other people see them, and your public profile: its address, what it shows, what it never shows, and how to hide it.

Your look

Your look has three pieces:

• Icon: the picture in your avatar.
• Border: the ring around your avatar.
• Title: the nameplate shown with your board name.

Each piece has a rarity: Common, Rare, Epic or Legendary. Titles show in their rarity's colour, and the Epic and Legendary ones shine. Many Epic and Legendary icons and borders move; a device set to reduce motion shows them still.

Looks are for show only: they change nothing in your plan or your trading.

With nothing worn in a place, your avatar shows the first letter of your board name, with no border, and no title appears. Next to your title, your profile also shows the band of your level (Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond), which comes with the level itself.

Where looks come from

Every look is earned or bought, never drawn at random, and stays yours.

The pieces named below are examples: the catalogue grows with each season, and "Still to earn" (below) shows what is open to you now.

• The start: every account receives six Trader icons, the Iron border and the Recruit title.
• Levels: borders that climb through the bands (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond), icons, and titles from Rookie through Scout, Operator, Specialist, Analyst, Strategist, Veteran, Commander, Master and Grandmaster to Legend at level 40. Account → "All progress" → "The ladder" shows which level brings which piece. Levels start with your first subscription payment; see XP and levels.
• Badges: some badge ranks bring an icon or a title; each rank says what it gives.
• Seasons: each season's track holds its own icons and borders, and its holiday quests hand out more, for example the Pumpkin icons around Halloween. See Seasons.
• Season prizes: borders, icons and titles for the top places, including a title made for each season's winner, "Champion of" the season, held by that one player.
• The shop: the "Looks" section sells icons, borders and titles no season hands out. One of each, yours for good; a look you have reads "Owned". Some are on sale for a limited time ("On sale until" a date). The shop shows the prices.
• Promotions, coupons and the team: a promotion, a coupon code or the support team can hand over any look.

Holiday pieces come out around their holiday and on their season's track, so a past holiday's piece is no longer earned the usual way.

A new look sends the notification "New look unlocked" with its name, kind and rarity. The looks of the start and of the first levels arrive quietly.

Changing your look in the Desk

1. Open the Desk at https://relay2trade.com/control, choose Account, and tap your avatar or "Change look".
2. Choose "Icons", "Borders" or "Titles". Each shows how many you own.
3. Tap a look to try it on. The card at the top shows it on your name, marked "Trying on".
4. Press "Wear it" to keep it, or "Keep what I wear" to go back. On a computer, "Wear" also appears when you point at a piece.
5. "Look saved." confirms it. The piece you wear is marked "Wearing".

More on the same screen:

• "None" ("Show nothing here") empties that place: tap it, then "Wear nothing here".
• "What is it?" (the "i" in a corner) shows a piece's family, rank, rarity, whether it moves, and when you earned it.
• "Still to earn" lists the looks the ladder, this season's track and the shop still hold for you, each with how it is had: "At level 24", "Season tier 7", or its price in Sparks in the shop.
• "More looks in the shop" opens the shop's looks.

You can wear only the looks you own. A new look is never put on for you, whether it comes from a level, a badge, a season, a prize or the shop: it waits on this screen until you choose it.

Your board name

1. In the Desk, open Account → "Your details".
2. Under "On the boards", type your name in "Show me on the board as": up to 24 characters, using letters, digits, spaces, underscores, dots and hyphens.
3. Press "Save". "Board settings saved." confirms it.

Left empty, you appear as "Trader #" with four characters that stay the same. The name you choose is the same on every board, on your public profile and in the Desk.

Where others see your look

• The boards: "This season", "All time", "Your circle", "Around you", the podiums and the final boards of closed seasons. A row shows your place, look, board name, title, level, XP and streak.
• Your public profile, and the card that opens when someone taps your name on a board.
• Your reviews: on a review you wrote, the name links to the same card.

While you are hidden from the boards, other people see none of these.

Your public profile

Your public profile is a page anyone can open, signed in or not, at relay2trade.com/p/ followed by your account code. Search engines are asked to leave it out.

It shows:

• "Public profile", your board name, look and title, the band and level, "Member since" a date, and your current streak in days;
• your account code, with a copy button;
• "This season": the running season with its days left, "Tier 7 of 25", your season XP, "Rank #… of …" when you are ranked, a bar to your next tier, and how much XP it needs (or "Track complete");
• "Badges": the best rank of each badge family you have earned, with its rarity, how it is earned and the date, and the other ranks of the family;
• "Season finishes": every closed season you played, with your place (or "—" when you had none), the tier reached, your season XP and how many were ranked.

The card that opens in the Desk when someone taps your name shows the same, with your lifetime XP and your places on "This season" and "All time".

It never shows your email address, your real name (unless you chose it as your board name), your plan, your Sparks, or anything about your trades, accounts, signals, groups or settings.

Your account code is also your invite code: someone who types it at registration joins through your invite.

Opening and sharing it

In the Desk, open Account → "All progress":

• "Public profile" opens your profile as others see it, marked "This is your public profile."
• The link button beside your name ("Copy the share link") copies its address.
• "Account code" copies your code.

While you are hidden, the same place reads "Profile hidden".

Hiding it

1. In the Desk, open Account → "Your details".
2. Under "On the boards", switch off "List me on the public boards".
3. Press "Save".

Hidden means no public profile, no place on the boards and no season prizes. Anyone else opening your address gets "not found", and your name leaves other people's boards and circles. You still see your own profile, with "Your profile is private while you are hidden from the boards." You keep earning XP, climbing the season track and receiving its tiers. Your invite link keeps working.

Badges and season finishes always show while your profile is public; hiding the profile hides them too.

Examples

• A level brings a new border. Your avatar keeps the border you wear until you open "Change look" → "Borders" and wear the new one.
• You finish a season in third place. The prize looks wait under "Change look"; wear them to show them on the boards.
• You buy an icon in the shop. It shows "Owned" there and waits under "Change look" → "Icons".
• You want a plain look: wear "None" for the border and the title, and your avatar shows just your icon.

If something goes wrong

• My new look does not show. New looks are never put on for you. Open Account → "Change look", pick it and press "Wear it".
• I have nothing to wear. The starting looks arrive with your first visit to your progress; open Account → "All progress", then try again.
• My avatar shows a letter. No icon is worn. Choose one under "Change look" → "Icons".
• The title I earned is missing from my name. Titles wait under "Change look" → "Titles" until you wear one.
• My profile link says not found. The account is hidden from the boards. Switch "List me on the public boards" on under Account → "Your details".
• People see "Trader #…" instead of my name. "Show me on the board as" is empty. Fill it in and press "Save".
• My name was refused. Use up to 24 letters, digits, spaces, underscores, dots or hyphens.
• I want last year's holiday look. Holiday pieces come from their event and their season's track. Write to Support in the Desk if you think one is missing: Getting support.
• My icon moves and I want it still. Movement belongs to many Epic and Legendary pieces. Wear a still one, or set your device to reduce motion.
